Over the last few years Brad Graham has quickly risen to one of the most in-demand Recording Engineer / Producers in Vancouver. Making his home at Turtle Recording in South Surrey, Brad's work has launched numerous artists out of the gate to receive accolades for their recordings. One such artist was Five Alarm Funk. Their independent released album "Rock The Sky" , which Brad engineered, received a JUNO AWARD nomination for "Instrumental Album Of The Year" as well as a WCMA AWARD nomination for "Instrumental Recording Of The Year". Another artist was Daniel Wesley and his smash hit "Ooo Oh" which became a staple on CFOX radio and led Daniel to multiple sold out concerts. Other artists Brad has helped to rocket to the top of the Vancouver scene include Tonye Aganaba and The Vidos.
Our Lady Peace
In 2010 Brad's talent was also enlisted to mix a live concert by Our Lady Peace. Recently Brad has engineered a new album for Yana Zlot, worked on new full band demos for Kristin Bunyan, and recorded and mixed Hayden's new single.
Brad no doubt made an easy transition to the other side of the studio glass through his years as a professional musician. Knowing how musicians need to be treated in the studio, and how to create a fun and relaxing atmosphere, has allowed Brad to bring out the best in creativity from artists. Having a wide range of musical knowledge has helped Brad work with styles as diverse as rock and metal, to classical, jazz, country, acoustic folk and electronic.
With the recording industry consumed by digital recording, Brad still loves to crack open a reel of 2" tape for the warmth of analog recording. Being thoroughly versed in digital production, he still loves to track a live performance to analog tape whenever possible. Rather than the "fix it in the mix" mentality which is all too common, Brad will work with artists to create the very best atmosphere for performances that don't need hours of edited fixes.
If your looking to record something special and have the talent, give Brad a call, he's always looking for the next big hit.
